Cape Verdeans: A Proud Legacy in Whaling and Cranberry Bogs

Join us at the Salt Pond Visitor Center at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 15 for a special presentation by the Cape Cod Cape Verdean Museum and Cultural Center in Falmouth!

Director Barbara Burgo will speak about the important historical and cultural contributions of the Cape Verdean community on Cape Cod, especially around the cranberry industry and whaling. Barbara will have various artifacts and books for attendees to view.
