Description

**Re-scheduled from Saturday to Sunday due to rain**

On Sunday, October 10th, Pipestone National Monument will celebrate Indigenous Peoples' Day with a night of lights, music, and traditional dancing from 8:00pm - 9:00pm.

Luminary bags will surround the 3/4-mile paved trail with Indigenous musicians, singers, and dancers spaced at different locations. Visitors may grab a cup of cider or hot cocoa from the visitor center and make their way around the trail at their leisure, taking in the sights and sounds.

For this one hour, the prairie will be filled with the artistic expressions of the many peoples who have called the pipestone quarries home for centuries.

This event is free, self-guided, and open to the public
