“George Washington & the Battle of Germantown”
Presented by: Michael C. Harris, independent historian
This talk will focus on the Battle of Germantown from the American point view. After detailing George Washington's plan for the offensive attack and the opening phases of the battle, an in-depth discussion of Washington's decision-making process at a crucial moment in the battle will take place. That decision which led to an assault on the Cliveden house ultimately led to a reversal of fortunes and Continental defeat.
