Description
Eighty years ago, the USS Indianapolis, a Portland-class heavy cruiser, was en route to the Philippine Islands when it was sunk by a Japanese submarine. It was delivering uranium and other components to Tinian Island for the first atomic bomb, "Little Boy." The story of the Indianapolis gets more dramatic from that point on. Join a ranger to learn more about this disaster and the amazing story of the survivors of the USS Indianapolis.
