First Day Hike

Start your year off right with a guided hike to a cool Big Bend feature. The moderate hike is approximately 4 miles long, through the desert scrub. You must register in advance to obtain instructions on where and when to meet for the start of the hike.

Long pants and long-sleeved shirts are recommended. Wear sturdy shoes and a hat. Bring plenty of water and a snack.

Register at the Panther Junction Visitor Center before 5:00 PM, Dec 31. The hike is limited to 16 people.
