Description
What was it like to be a solider at the Battle of Glorieta Pass in 1862? Join a ranger from Fort Union National Monument for this special program at the Trading Post at Pecos National Historical Park. Learn more about the life of a Civil War soldier in New Mexico and watch a demonstration of how weapons at the time were loaded and fired as the park commemorates the anniversary of the battle in March 1862.
Programs will take place at the Trading Post starting at 2 p.m. but rangers will be on hand before and after the program and to allow time for exploring the Trading Post exhibits.
The Trading Post is located approximately 0.5 mile south of the main visitor center on Highway 63.
