This will be a 20-minute talk, given three times daily, starting at 10:30 am and ending at 2:50 pm. Ranger will be on hand between talks to answer questions until 4:00 pm.


Description

The Monarch butterfly is an amazing insect that has a fascinating life cycle. Its ability to migrate 3000 miles in the fall to its wintering grounds is an awesome feat. Join a Ranger to learn more about this beloved insect and the milkweed plant that it relies on.

The program will be given at the Minerals Museum under cover of the porch rain or shine. If thunder is present, program may be moved inside.
