Lincoln Day Weekend Event - Candlelight Evening at the Farm
What was it like to live as Abraham Lincoln and his family did 200 years ago?
The "Candlelight Evening" program at the Living Historical Farm, located inside Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial, offers park visitors a glimpse of what it was like to live as Lincoln did. Explore the peaceful, evening atmosphere of an 1820-era homestead, illuminated only by candlelight, lamps, and the glow from the fire, watch demonstrations inside the cabin, in the cabin yard and carpenter shop, and engage in conversation with park rangers and volunteers.
This is a great way to experience pioneer life!
Bring your own flashlights to navigate the park trail to the Living Historical Farm. Though there is a fire lit in the cabin’s fireplace, dress for the outside weather.
