Slaves to Soldiers

As part of the 2024 Black History Month, we welcome back Mr.Lonnie Davis to the park. He will present a historical interpretive discussion covering the transition from being enslaved to serving as American soldiers. The discussion will span from the Civil War up to World War II. This program will be presented on February 3rd and 17th, at the Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Indoor Classroom. Capacity may be limited. Seating is first come first serve.
