Before settling in to watch the Super Bowl, take some time to enjoy the natural world on our "Superb Owl" Bird Walk!

Even in the quietest months of winter, there is still a flurry of activity in nature. Take a walk with a staff member from the Audubon Society of RI and a park ranger to explore Blackstone River State Park. Learn about the best places to look for birds in this season and what you can do to protect raptor species, including owls and hawks. Meet in front of the kiosk next to the Ashton Viaduct.

Field guides, binoculars, and Junior Birder books will be available.

Note: Although this is a "superb owl" bird walk, we are not likely to see owls, but you can learn about where they live, what they eat, and the best ways to protect owls.

This program is outdoors. Participants should dress for the weather and wear sturdy walking shoes. Program will mostly be along paved and dirt paths. Footing may be uneven at times.

This program is offered in partnership with the Audubon Society of Rhode Island.
