The “It’s A Wonderful Life Festival” is a three-day festival, with events happening on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The park will be open 10:00 am - 4:00 pm throughout the festival, on all three days.
Description
The “It’s A Wonderful Life" Festival is an annual cultural heritage attraction and celebration hosted by the Town of Seneca Falls in honor of the classic 1946 holiday film set in Bedford Falls, and inspired by the real-life Seneca Falls, New York. The three-day event (December 12 -14, 2025) features a variety of community programs, including: a downtown parade, 5K run, film-screenings, special guest speakers, and more.
The Park’s multi-day programs will feature interpretive history talks and “drop-in” special topic programs by park rangers that connect the efforts of Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Fredrick Douglass, and other early women’s rights activists and abolitionists to historical Christmas, Watchnight, and other holiday celebrations. There will also be a special exhibit in the Wesleyan Chapel; a guest speaker (with a Special Park Use permit) on Sunday; and the following:
- Make-and-Take 19th-Century Inspired Embossed Tin Ornaments *while supplies last
(Visitor Center). - Winter-themed Family Crafts & Coloring Sheets (Visitor Center).
- Holiday Traditions Community Paperchain (Visitor Center).
- NPS Passport to History & “Bedford Falls” Stamping Station (Visitor Center).
