The event is free and open to the public but advance registration is required.

The National Park Service and the Friends of the National World War II Memorial invite you to join us as we pay tribute to the more than 16 million men and women who served in the U.S. Armed Forces during WWII at a special Veterans Day observance at the National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 9 a.m.

The program will also be streamed live to Friends' Facebook pageĀ (https://www.facebook.com/WWIIMemorialFriends).

As part of the commemoration, World War II veterans will lay wreaths at the Freedom Wall in remembrance of their fallen brothers and sisters.

The Military District of Washington will provide military support for the event.

The ceremony is open to the public; but, registration is required at the Friends website. Social distancing practices will also be required.
