Description
Join us for a special talk by Jim Bailey, Superintendent of Appomattox Court House National Historical Park and Booker T. Washington National Monument as well as former Chief of Interpretation and Visitor Services at Manassas National Battlefield Park. In his talk, Jim will examine how Manassas civilian James Robinson weathered the wholesale destruction of his Henry Hill farm at the hands of Federal soldiers during the Battle of Second Manassas on August 29, 1862. The program will also look at how Robinson navigated perilous interactions with both Confederate and Union armies throughout the Civil War. Meet in the Henry Hill Visitor Center audtorium.
