Description
Commemorating Veterans Day, Park Ranger Michael Callahan explores the often overlooked story of the Civil War in the West, through the experiences of Harmon Bloodgood, a New Jersey native who served in the 3rd U.S. Cavalry and fought both Confederates and Indians in New Mexico during the Civil War. He worked on several projects as a stone mason in metropolitan New York in the late 19th century, likely including the erection of a new steeple at St. Paul’s, and died in 1912, followed by burial at St. Paul’s near his wife and daughters.
