Description

Join us as we will take a trip through the constellations, learning their names and some of the myths that go along with them.  We will also have a telescope avaible to bring the moon, stars, and other astonomical objects closer.  

The night's activities will take place next to the Stockade Fort. Park in the main lot and meet the ranger outside of the Visitor Center. Feel free to bring a lawn chair, towel, or blanket to sit on as we gaze up at the sky. Personal telescopes are welcome, but the park is not responsible for any damage. 

Visitors should wear comfortable close-toed shoes and weather appropriate clothing. A water bottle is recommended. Flashlights are encouraged but please remember do not point them at any faces. Flashlights with a red mode or a red filter are preferred. Please be sure to have a mask on hand since masks are required inside federal buildings (including the restrooms).

Reservations are required for this event. To make a reservation please call the park at 864-543-4068 x3 from Wednesday to Saturday from 10-4. Program is subject to cancellation due to weather.
