Experience Lowell from new perspectives by taking an urban hike through the city's downtown and along its waterways.  This free Ranger-lead program begins at the Lowell National Historical Park Visitor Center (246 Market Street).  This urban hike will cover a roundtrip loop of approximately 3 miles and we encourage everyone to walk, stroll, or stride at their own pace along the way.  

Please dress for the weather, wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather, bring plenty of water, and anything else you may need to safely enjoy your hike.  

Parking   

Lowell National Historical Park visitors may park at the Hamilton Canal Innovation District (HCID) parking garage at 350 Dutton Street. Parking in this garage is available to National Park visitors at no cost provided they obtain a valid parking voucher at the Visitor Center (246 Market Street).

Join Lowell National Historical Park as we get outside and discover Lowell as part of our Wellness on the Walkways Series of events. Stay active with a variety of activities exploring the city’s urban and natural landscapes via the many walkways of Lowell. All programs are FREE.
