The program will be held at the Lilly Bluff Overlook, which is a short walk from the Lilly Bluff Picnic Area parking lot, which is located off of Ridge Road a short distance from Lilly Bridge in Morgan County, Tennessee.

Description
Ranger-led Night Sky Astronomy Program to view Orion the Hunter on Friday, January 20.
Join our dark sky ranger at the Lilly Bluff Overlook at 7:00 p.m. (ET) to view the constellation Orion the Hunter as it rises in the eastern sky, containing the wispy Orion Nebula in his sword. In addition to Orion, the program will include viewing of other objects such as the Pleiades Star Cluster, Canis Major (the Great Dog), Mars and Jupiter through NPS telescopes.
The event is subject to favorable clear sky weather conditions. In the event of inclement weather or cloud cover, the event may be cancelled. Be sure to call the Obed Visitor Center before 5 p.m. (ET) on the day of the event to confirm the status of the event. Amateur astronomers are also invited to bring their telescopes to join the program and may contact the visitor center for more information.
