Feel the presence of Mary McLeod Bethune at the historic Council House with a performance by actor Leslie Jones. Her dramatic portrayal of Mrs. Bethune gives the aura of being at the first national headquarters of the National Council of Negro Women during the late 1940s.  Mrs. Bethune founded the National Council of Negro Women, a powerful Civil Rights organization and this event takes place in their historic headquarters on 1318 Vermont Avenue, N.W. Reservations are required and the program will be shown live via Microsoft Teams for those who cannot be there in person.  Special house tours follow the program.
