National Public Lands Day – Beach Cleanup

Gateway National Recreation Area

  • Sep 26, 2021 at 10:00 AM
  • Free

National Public Lands Day was started in 1994 to inspire environmental stewardship and promote responsible recreation. Help us recognize this day by volunteering to help clean the beach, document debris collected and submit the data. Reservations are required. No equipment will be shared, trash grabbers will be sanitized prior.  Bring gloves, facial masks, and water. Contact 718-354-4655 for details and to make a reservation.

Consistent with CDC guidance, visitors to Gateway National Recreation Area are required to wear a mask indoors and in crowded outdoor spaces, regardless of vaccination status or community transmission levels.
