Sherman's March to the Sea

Following his two-month occupation of Atlanta, Major General William T. Sherman inititated his March to the Sea. In November of 1864, Sherman's 60,000-man army departed Atlanta and began campaigning to, "make Georgia howl." Many have called him a war criminal, a dutiful soldier,  madman, or a great tactician. discover the history behind the maneuver that sealed the fate of two nations.
