Description
Join a ranger to explore Fire Island National Seashore’s amazing Sunken Forest. Learn about the different trees and wildlife, and what makes this globally rare maritime forest so special.
Register in advance for this event as space is limited to ensure safe social distancing. Participants will be asked to follow CDC and local public health guidelines for COVID-19. We ask the public to be our partner in recreating responsibly, by adopting social distancing practices and by wearing a face covering when social distancing cannot be maintained.
Location: Sailors Haven Visitor Center
Location Description: Sailors Haven, Fire Island. Access by private boat, or by public ferry from Sayville/Sailors Haven Ferry, River Road, Sayville, New York.
