Saturday, September 28 – 6:30 p.m.  – University of Arkansas at Little Rock main campus, Donaghey Student Center (DSC)

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will host conscience conversation in the DSC auditorium with Elizabeth Eckford, recent author and one of the Little Rock Nine; Jane Hill Williams, one of the ten students selected to desegregate Central High School in 1957; and Dr. Sybil Jordan Hampton, the first three-year African American graduate of Central High School. Dr. Terrence Roberts, psychologist and one of the Little Rock Nine, will facilitate a conversation of how the events at Central High School before and after desegregation impacted this group, examine their narrative roles in the civil rights movement and discuss their activism today.  Other guests of honor include Robin White, Superintendent of Little Rock Central High School NHS, and John W. Walker, Arkansas State Representative and civil rights attorney.  J.A. Fair High School Band, Choir and Theater will perform a selection of civil rights themed songs to begin the program.
