Description

Blackstone River Valley National Historical Park is co-hosting a transcription session for the Revolutionary War Pension Files Transcription Project this summer. On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, we invite you to join us at 6:00 PM in Heritage Hall, 101 Greene St, North Smithfield, RI. 

Participants will learn about the value of wartime pensions and hear service stories about patriots from the Blackstone Valley. Then, rangers will offer a training on how to transcribe records online for this project. Please bring a laptop computer for the session.

Presented in partnership with North Smithfield Heritage Association.
