One of the best books out there about James A. Garfield is Kenneth D. Ackerman’s "Dark Horse: The Surprise Election and Political Murder of President James A. Garfield." We’re thrilled to welcome Ken here to James A. Garfield NHS to talk about Garfield’s 1880 campaign and election, and 1881 assassination. The book is for sale here in our Eastern National bookstore, and the author will sign copies after the presentation. Program is free of charge; book may be purchased in the bookstore.
