Description

Meet rangers from the National Park Service at the Reedville Fishermen's Museum for a day of fishing fun! All materials will be provided for anglers of all ages to fish from the museum's pier. Rangers will provide instruction to those with less experience! No prior knowledge of fishing is required.

Back on shore, rangers will provide families with a special "Junior Ranger Angler" badge and booklet. Stick around to participate in hands on activities. Learn from rangers about different underwater habitats and the animals that live there, or try your hand at building a traditional fishing net!

Park Rangers will be representing the Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail, a water-based trail that follows the shorelines and tributaries of the Chesapeake Bay. Stop by the event to learn more about the trail, secure a special National Park passport cancellation stamp, and grab a trail map!
