PHYSICAL ADDRESS: 14840 Manahan Road Sabillasville, MD 21780 DIRECTIONS: From the east, follow US Route 15 to MD77. Drive about 6 miles on MD77. Turn right onto Foxville Deerfield Rd. At the fork, bear right onto Manahan Rd. Continue approximately 3/4 mile and turn left into Camp Round Meadow. Park in the large From the west, take MD 64 and turn onto MD77 East. Description

Immerse yourself in the craft of a blacksmith at Catoctin Mountain Park and forge some new memories!
 
Learn how the blacksmith, or smithy, used their skills to mold and repair tools, weapons, and household objects crucial for everyday life in Appalachia. Discover the role played by the blacksmith in the creation of the park’s infrastructure and their influence on everyday life in a mountain community.
 
This in-person live demonstration will be hosted the last Saturday of each month, from May to October, at the Blacksmith Shop in Camp Round Meadow from 11:00am – 2:00pm.
