Start off National Park Week and International Dark Sky Week with a night of stargazing and fun learning. Join park rangers and volunteers from the Flagstaff Dark Skies Coalition (FDSC) at the Lava Flow Trail ampitheatre from 7:30pm - 10:00pm. 

The night's events include:

  • 7:15 - 7:30, FDSC presentation on dark sky friendly lighting
  • 7:30 - 8:15, The night sky from an Indigfenous perspecitve talk by Gerald Dawavendewa (Hopi)
  • 8:30 - 9:00, constellation tour
  • 8:15 - 10:00, telescope viewing (Eyepiece telescopes and a smart scope with images on a tablet.)
