The Prominence and Power of the Powhatan Chiefdom
The Powhatan Chiefdom controlled a vast landscape andmaintained power over many tribes. This program will explore the intersectionality of politics, economics, culturem, and religion among tribes and their early interactions with English colonizers in the exhibit galleries and through hands-on activities.
