Description

This program is part of the park's Juneteenth celebration.

Park Ranger Greg Carr will discuss the accomplishments of 19th century black leader, James Milton Turner, a formerly enslaved man, who was instrumental in establishing schools for black children in Missouri and served in Ulysses S. Grant's administration.

The program is free and will take place in the park's theater.
