Description

In celebration of Native American Heritage Month, from November 2 - 30, 2016, Women's Rights National Historical Park will be exhibiting the works of renowned artist Pedro Huamani. A reception will be held for the public to meet the artist at the Women's Rights National Historical Park's Visitor Center on Saturday, November 5, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

Pedro Huamani's exhibition features paintings that examine the mysticism of zoomorphic and anthropomorphic influence in pre-Colombian Peruvian art. Among the works on display will be "Winged Man", an oil on linen painting. It shows the desire of the people to expand on their humanity by morphing with a bird to search for their gods. Pedro Huamani's work "The Musician: Pre-Colombian" was awarded Best in Show at last year'sColor: vivid, vibrant, and vitalexhibition at R. Dixon Gallery in Seneca Falls, NY.

It is Pedro Huamani's desire to make an exceptional artistic representation of the ancient Peruvian inhabitants and bring back their culture full of mysticism and an exotic world.
