Telescope in front of foliage and a mountain

Night Sky Viewing

Hovenweep National Monument

Special Event
  • May 3, 2025 at 8:30 PM
  • Free

Get moonstruck at Hovenweep this weekend with astronomy volunteer Fred Coe!

Thursday night through Sunday night from 8:30pm - 10:00pm, Fred Coe will be at campsite 11 with his telescopes and a wealth of knowledge about the night sky. Since the moon is getting brighter, that will be his focus, but he knows far more about the cosmos than just that. Bring the whole family and layer up - we hope to see you out there!
