Event is free to the public, however The State of Nebraska requires vehicle park entry permits for any motorized vehicle to enter any Nebraska State Park, State Historical Park or State Recreation Area. Description
The Niobrara National Scenic River, in collaboration with the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and the Nature Conservancy, is excited to host a series of enchanting night sky events this fall. These events offer a unique opportunity to explore the wonders of the night sky and the fascinating nocturnal creatures that inhabit our region.
Join us September 27th, at Merritt Resevoir State Recreation Area (Boardman Creek Campground) at 8:00pm, for and evening under the stars.Staff and volunteers from Niobrara National Scenic River and Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will guide you through an exploration of the night sky and introduce you to the critters that flutter through the night.
Participants are encouraged to dress warmly, bring binoculars, telescopes, water, snacks, and a sense of wonder.
