Description

Shiloh National Military Park is excited to announce the first of three special summer programs taking place in Corinth, Mississippi this summer. On Saturday, June 17, 2023, join Ranger Anthony Killion at the Corinth Civil War Interpretive Center for an exploration of the Siege of Corinth through the eyes of the soldiers serving in the 81st Ohio Infantry Regiment who lived it.

Participants will meet at the Interpretive Center located at 501 West Linden Street at 10:00 am and travel as a car caravan to some of the preserved siege lines that ringed the town during the Civil War.

Participants should be prepared to walk up to one mile on uneven terrain and to be out of their cars for up to two hours during the course of this program. Sunscreen, a hat, comfortable walking shoes, water, and bug spray are recommended.

Pre-registration is required, and space on the program can be reserved by calling the Corinth Civil War Interpretive Center by dialing (662) 287-9273 any day of the week between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
