Running with a Ranger: A History of the Georgetown Waterfront in Motion
Lace up your shoes to join a ranger-led 2.5 mile guided run through the history of the Georgetown Waterfront. This one-hour, all-levels program explores the alleyways, towpaths, and waterfront trails below M Street where industry and the changing community shaped the landscape. Along the way, we will pause to stretch, reflect, and uncover the history beneath our feet – from working docks to a public park.
Additional Information:
The terrain will include up and down stairs and a mixture of pavement, cobblestone, brick, and dirt. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable outdoor clothes and running shoes. Be sure to bring water to stay hydrated throughout the run.
