Description
In honor of the centennial of the passage of the 19th amendment in Congress and Women’s History Month, Federal Hall National Memorial will be presenting an exhibit entitled “From the Suffrage to the New Millennium.”
On June 4th, 1919, Congress passed the 19th amendment which guaranteed women the right to vote.
In the 100 years since then, women from all walks of life have made great strides in various different fields, and we set out to tell some of their stories.
The photo exhibit features 40 women from 10 decades as well as a brief timeline of the Woman Suffrage Movement.
