Agate Fossil Beds National Monument is excited to host the 3rd Annual Volksmarch on May 18, 2024!
Volksmarch is a German word meaning "sport of the people." These events are typically walking, cycling or swimming. Northwest Nebraska has 3 established Volksmarch trails you can do anytime: Agate Fossil Beds, White River, or Chadron State College. In addition, one big event is held each year.
2024 is at Agate! You can hike a 5K or 10K within the monument. The event is hosted by Discover Northwest Nebraska. Check out their website for more details and a registration link.
