Description
Join us on Indigenous Peoples' Day for a cultural walk and talk with Adriano Tsinigine! Adriano is a Fish and Wildlife Biologist working at the New Mexico Ecological Services Field Office with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. He is an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation and obtained a bachelor's degree from Northern Arizona University and currently, a master's at the University of Arizona. He will be leading an ethnobotany program from 10am-11:30am at Aztec Ruins National Monument on October 9, 2023.
This program does not require any reservations and is free for the public to join. Adriano will be walking throughout the monument, discussing plants and wildlife and sharing personal understanding on how they integrate into traditional ecological knowledge (TEK).
Please bring comfortable walking shoes, water, and a jacket for colder weather. As a reminder, no food or drink other than water is allowed in the ruins. Call (505) 334-6174 with any questions.
