Living History
Description
Experience the town's response to the War of 1812 British invasion in the nation's capital. Living history volunteers from the 12th US Infantry Regiment will demonstrate a local recruiting party who helped repulse the invaders. Citizens feared a British attack on the armory but were also alarmed about a potential slave revolt. Special historic weapons firing demonstrations will also be offered each day. Please be prepared for loud noises.
