Birdwatching 101

Celebrate World Migratory Bird Day with park rangers on a Birdwatching Hike at El Calderon. The bird nerd excursion will start at 8:00 am at the El Calderon parking lot, located off of Highway 53, around 22 miles from Grants. The hike will follow part of the Continental Divide Trail (CDT) to the west of the parking area. Come learn the basics of birdwatching and enjoy the beauty of a spring morning. All experience levels are welcome. Please bring your own binoculars if possible, if not, some pairs will be available to check out.
