Description: Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument is excited to invite you to join us for a Basics of Outdoor Photography Workshop hosted by this year’s Artist-in-Residence – Photographer Joyce Geier!
Joyce is an outdoor photographer “with extensive practical experience in creating images that entice viewers to see the world in unique, timeless, and holistic ways – and who delights in encouraging and helping others to joyfully do the same.” Throughout her 5-week residency at Salinas Pueblo Missions, Joyce has been exploring the park’s cultural and natural resources, including the park’s pristine dark skies. During her explorations, Joyce has been taking photos and compiling a visually attractive photo portfolio for the park.
Now, you can join Joyce in her explorations during her upcoming workshop where you can learn how good composition and good use of light can make any subject interesting! During the workshop, you will learn:
· The basics of outdoor photography with a camera or cellphone.
· Composition tips and tricks you can apply today - both basic, and advanced.
· Ways to photograph the same things differently, enhancing the images you choose to make.
