From the Desert View visitor parking lot, follow a paved footpath towards the Desert View Watchtower, a prominent 70-foot-high, cylindrical shaped, stone building. The amphitheater is near the watchtower, alongside the paved footpath between the watchtower and the commercial tour bus and RV parking lot.

Special Cultural Performance
Monday August 18 – Outside of Desert View Watchtower – 6:30 p.m.

Join Gary Elthie and Sam Anderson from the Diné (Navajo) Nation for an evening of traditional and contemporary Native American music and dance, including performances from their Diné heritage.

Dress warmly for this outdoor event. 

All outdoor programs are subject to cancellation due to inclement weather or when lightning danger is present. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Desert View is a small settlement on the South Rim, located 23 miles/ 37 km east of Grand Canyon Village on Arizona State Route 64 (Desert View Drive).
