The New River Gorge lies within a region where salamander diversity is greater than anywhere else on earth. While often overlooked, salamanders play an important role in the ecosystem. Join a ranger to learn about the abundance of salamander species found in the New River Gorge and why these small amphibians are one of the park's most significant resources.
