Join us for a screening of Ava DuVernay's documentary 13th, which covers the connections between the 13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and the high rates of incarceration among African Americans in the United States today. This discussion is the culminating event in the part "Black History in Lowell: A Special Series on Race, Freedom, and the Spindle City." This free film screening will be hosted at the Lowell National Historical Park Visitor Center at 6:30 p.m. on July 23rd.
