Tarleton Returns

In July 1781, British Lieutenant Colonel Banastre Tarleton led a raid through Southside Virginia. His force of British and Loyalist mounted troops rode through Dinwiddie County on their way to depots further west. 245 years later – he’s returned!

Join us on July 18 as historian and first-person interpreter Mark Schneider portrays Colonel Tarleton and recounts his service in southern Virginia during the American Revolution.

Program begins at 2:00 pm at the Five Fork visitor center 9840 Courthouse Road, Dinwiddie, VA 23841.
