Description

Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail Ambassador PRIDE OF BALTIMORE II will be visiting Havre de Grace, MD!

Due to COVID protocols, there will not be be deck tours or day sails. However, there will be an educational shoreside display near the ship as well as virtual and onsite programs, including volunteers from the Chesapeake Independent Blues who will provide living history representations of the Maryland citizen-soldiers during the War of 1812.

This event is in partnership with Lower Susquehanna Heritage Greenway and Havre de Grace Visitor Center and Tourism.

PRIDE II will sail into Havre de Grace between 5-6 pm. 


The Havre de Grace Arts Collective will have an encore presentation of "Dawn's Early Light" shortly after the ship's arrival (weather dependent).


The ship's arrival will coincide with Havre de Grace's First Friday - the town's family-friendly, festive celebration on closed downtown streets. The event will feature live bands, cafe seating at restaurants, food trucks, and more! COVID-19 protocols will be in effect.

9 AM – Coffee with the Captain (virtual) with Havre de Grace Mayor Bill Martin.


10 AM-4 PM – PRIDE OF BALTIMORE II dockside viewing, shoreside display, and Chesapeake Independent Blues living history demonstration. NPS ranger will also be onsite for junior ranger activities.
