Description

Bring your questions and a leash! Join a park ranger for a walk and talk with your furry friend! You will learn the BARK Ranger rules and your pet will be sworn in as an official BARK ranger!

Bag your poop:
Keep George Washington Carver National Monument
healthy and clean by collecting all dog waste. Garbage
cans are located throughout the park.

Always wear a leash:
All dogs must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet (2 m)
to keep them safe from natural dangers or traffic. A leash
also keeps your pet from getting lost, or accidentally
scaring people who may be afraid of dogs.

Respect wildlife:
Dogs can chase and threaten wildlife, scaring birds
and other animals away from nesting, feeding, and
resting sites. Please keep your dog at a respectful
distance from any animals you may encounter. If your
presence changes the behavior of any wild animal,
you are too close.

Know where you can go:
Dogs are permitted on walkways and trails, but not
in buildings. Check the park website for a list of
restrictions (like wading in the creek or pond) and
additional information about exploring our park.

Reservation or Registration: No
