Event registration is not required. Starry Night Backcountry Boat Tour tickets are required and can be reserved online or by calling (855) 708-2207.

Half the park is after dark! Celebrate dark skies in Flamingo with special events throughout the day. Park at Guy Bradley Visitor Center and board a free shuttle to begin your night sky journey. Activities include:

    • 1:00 – 2:30: Unearthing Your Voice Creative Writing Workshop and The Ritual to Beauty Short Film Presentation by Shenny De Los Angeles
       
    • 4:00 – 5:00: Where Darkness Still Lives: Night Sky Photography Presentation by Anthony Sleiman 
       
    • 5:00 – 9:30: Ranger-led Night Walks (departing every 30 minutes)
       
    • 5:30 – 6:30: Chasing the Last Light: Ranger-led Sunset Photography Workshop 
       
    • 6:00 – 8:30: Night Sky Exploration Stations featuring bat monitoring, blacklight scavenger hunts, and more. 
       
    • 7:00 – 8:30: Starry Night Backcountry Boat Tour (space limited; additional ticket purchase required
       
    • 7:30 – 8:30: The Cosmic Roller Coaster: Ranger-led Astronomy Talk 
       
    • 7:30 – 9:00: Starry Night Backcountry Boat Tour (space limited; additional ticket purchase required)
       
    • 7:30 – 9:00: Intro to Night Sky Photography Workshop with Anthony Sleiman 
       
    • 8:30 – 10:00: Telescope Viewing  

Food and hot drinks will be available for purchase from 6 to 10 p.m.
