Fee:
Penn Center charges a $5 admission fee to the grounds for Heritage Days. Visitors can still access the NPS property at Darrah Hall free of charge. Please note that this is a partner event happening around the NPS managed property.Location: LAT/LONG: 32.388696, -80.576305

Description
Penn Center's Annual Heritage Days is a large three day cultural and community event held every year in November. The event celebrates the history of Penn Center and the Gullah Geechee culture throughout the nation. Heritage Days takes plays throughout the Penn Center National Historic Landmark District.

10 am - 12 pm: Gullah Roots Village
3 pm - 4 pm: Heritage Days Opening Ceremony
6 pm - 7 pm: Youth Theatrical Performance
4:30pm - 7:30 pm: Lowcountry Supper
7:30 pm - 8:30 pm: Old Fashioned Prayer Service
6:30pm - 9pm: Heritage Featured Artist Reception "The Art of Sonja Griffin Evans"

10 am - 5 pm: Andrew Young Exhibit
4 pm - 10pm: Soul Slide Dance Party
6 pm - You've Gotta Run - Musical/Theater performance based on the life of Andrew Young. 6pm supper and refreshments, 6:30pm performance at the Emory Campbell Dining Hall. Tickets to this performance are $20 per person. Contact Dr. Charlene Spearen at 843-838-8549
Please note that large crowds can be expected at Heritage Days, especially on Saturday. In previous years, between 10,000-15,000 people have been in attendance. The county typically closes Martin Luther King, Jr Drive to vehicle traffic at least during the morning parade. Please note that this is not an official park event - it is hosted by Penn Center in the national historic landmark district that surrounds the NPS managed facility at Darrah Hall.
