A Once-in-250-Year Junior Ranger Opportunity!
Special Event
Hello, Park and Junior Ranger Badge Enthusiasts!
Saturday, July 4, is the 250th birthday of our great United States of America, and we welcome you to celebrate this very special time in our country's history in our national park.
A few days earlier, on June 27 and 29, there are two more very special 250th anniversaries being commemorated in the Presidio: the arrival of the Anza Expedition families, whose settling in the area started the city of San Francisco!
To mark this important and historic turning point, the National Park Service's Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail, brought to you by the NPS's Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA) and the Presidio Historical Association (PHA), is pleased to offer park guests a very rare opportunity.
For the first time and for eight days only, 6/27 through 7/4, visitors can earn the limited-edition Anza 250th anniversary Junior Ranger Badge exclusively at the Presidio Visitor Center!
While you're in the visitor center, be sure to take a closer look inside to learn more about the park's history, and visit the Presidio 250 Wish Wall to leave your best wishes for today and the next 250 years! Stroll over to the Presidio Officers' Club for more historic adventures, too!
This multiday activity is free to all visitors, but supplies are extremely limited.
