Description
This ranger talk is an informal display of props each telling a unique story of the United States Colored Troops, their families and camp followers. These facinating stories weave a complex web of experiances, including people who ran from plantations in the park to join the Civil War in recruitment hubs like Fernandina, and those who came from elsewhere but served in the Jacksoville area during the war. Stop in to hear a story, ask a question or two, and learn somthing new.
